Gates are generally the first thing to fail on a wooden fence. They are the only moving part and must align correctly in order to function. Wood being a natural product is constantly expanding and contracting witch can cause the gate to twist and nails to come loose or pop. All of the wood gates we build have cedar framing and are not just nailed but screwed together so they last over time.
